  • Gyor monumental early Baroque monument consists of the eastern half of the map. Kolonich Leopold was erected by the Bishop of Győr in the 1686th year to commemorate the recapture. Long prismatic pedestal column is topped with Mary holding the baby Jesus. Effect of the Renaissance, with garlands of fruit and figural reliefs decorated pedestal four corners of a Baroque statue of St. Stephen, St. John the Baptist, St. Anthony of Padua and St. Leopold. On the side of the pedestal are reliefs depicting saints. Below is inscribed in Latin on both sides of the monument set up. The Marian column is surrounded by stone barriers puppet.

  • The Baroque Széchenyi square Gyor's main square. Mostly 17-18. century framed buildings, particularly in the northern baroque palaces and buildings of the south side of the Benedictines remarkable. For centuries, this square was the center of public life, several events have been held here today. During the Turkish occupation of the area in underground prison, and later stood in the pillory, the abbot, was the noble house kivégzőhelye. 1688 was the last in Győr, burning of witches, in 1715, cut off his head Géczy Julianna, the "Levoča white woman".

  • Saint Ladislaus I (1045 – 29 July 1095) was King of Hungary from 1077 until his death, "who greatly expanded the boundaries of the kingdom and consolidated it internally; no other Hungarian king was so generally beloved by the people". Before his accession to the throne, he was the main advisor of his brother, Géza I of Hungary, who was fighting against their cousin, King Solomon of Hungary.

  • Szent királyunk személye az itt őrzött hermával egyértelműen Győrhöz köthető. Szent László király nevének napján az önkormányzat minden évben díszközgyűléssel tiszteleg lovagkirályunk előtt, a püspökség pedig évről évre szentmisével és körmenettel ünnepli a magyar történelem nagy alakját.
